We were so moved by this story from Adrian and Susan Gough about their son Harrison, we decided it needed to be highlighted. Audi North Scottsdale is grateful that Harrison is okay and happy to see that the safety standards on Audi vehicles pass with flying colors when put up to the unfortunate test.

Good morning,
Please bear with me, but I feel compelled to write this email to you this morning. This year, my wife, her ex-husband and I decided it was time to buy my step-son, Harrison (who is 18 1/2), a car for Christmas. Harrison is a well-deserving young man of such a present. He is having his best year academically as a senior at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, he stays away from kids doing drugs and alcohol, follows the rules and is very respectful. He also has not had a ticket or an accident in his 1 1/2 to 2 years of driving. These are just some of the many reasons he deserved this gift.
Our search led us to Sean Moran of Audi North Scottsdale who had a 2007 Audi A4 Quattro (Black on Black) on the lot. We spoke to Sean about the purpose of our purchase and our need for an extremely safe vehicle. Sean diligently went over all of the safety features of this vehicle inclucing its ability to withstand side impacts and the side and head restraint air bag system. Unbeknownst to Sean, after his review of the safety features of this vehicle, we had pretty much made up our mind to purchase it. However, we had not driven it off of the lot yet! After the drive and knowing the safety features of the vehicle, we decided to make the purchase. As an aside, Sean was great to work with and we feel he went above and beyond his duties. We would love to work with him again.
My wife and I picked up the car on Christmas Eve and completely surprised Harrison Christmas morning. A brief video of his reaction is attached (you may have to turn up the volume to hear him). Harrison drove off and we were all very happy and excited for him. However, a couple of hours later, we received a call from him that he had been in an accident close to home. When we arrived at the scene, There was a lot of damage to the driver's side of the vehicle (pictures attached) and Harrison's car had been spun around about 180 degrees. The head restraint and side air bags deployed and Harrison and his friend, while shaken up a bit, were completely fine with no injuries. Amazingly, there was no apparent intrusion into the passenger cabin. The other driver and the two young boys in the car with her (maybe 7 and 4 years old), were thankfully also fine. The other driver stated it was a Christmas miracle that everyone was okay.
We are thoroughly convinced that Harrison and his friend were able to walk away from this accident uninjured because of how Audi constructs its vehicles and its focus on safety. We feel very blessed to have purchased an Audi for our son and feel it was the perfect Christmas present this year.
