As you may already know, the new 2012 Audi R8 has gone through some big changes. These changes include the flagship model's engineering, technology, design language and, of course, performance.
As an Audi lover in the greater Phoenix area, you are probably familiar with the standard Audi R8 than the R8 V10 mentioned above. Even without a vicious V10 underneath the hood, the standard Audi R8 available at Audi North Scottsdale of Phoenix delivers 372 horsepower and fuel efficiency that triumphs two competing luxury hybrids from BMW and Mercedes-Benz?. The Audi R8, for readers less familiar with the venerable model, is not a hybrid.
It goes without saying, the Audi R8 is the apple of many tuning company's eye. In the Audi R8, tuning companies don't just see a winner; they see a mountain of potential. As such, when our new Audi dealership first heard APR Tuned had their way with the R8, we weren't surprised in the least.
Based here in the U.S., APR Tuned had a simple vision: A modest upgrade that would allow for the Audi R8 V10 (a previous revamped iteration of the R8) to lend even more competition to its older sibling the R8 GT.
Did they succeed?
You bet they did!
After working their magic, the Audi R8 V10 now boasts a power output of 559 horsepower and 411 lb.-ft. of torque, running on 91 octane. Upgrade to 93 octane and those who dare to drive the supped-up vehicle can expect another 24 horsepower on top of that. The Audi R8 V10, you might remember, puts out 526 horsepower and 395 lb.-ft. of torque.
Still under development, this program promises many more exciting turns to come. Be sure to stay as Audi North Scottsdale promises to bring you all of the details as they become available.
