This one goes out to all of the new parents in the greater Phoenix areas, and parents-to-be. Among the many things to reevaluate and perhaps update to accommodate your little ones is your automobile. Often times, the immediate - and might we add horrifying - assumption is that a minivan or wagon is your best option. Audi North Scottsdale is happy to reassure you, this simply isn't so. One luxury sedan alternative is the 2013 Audi A4.
Kicking Tires recently performed a car seat test in the new Audi A4, using a rear-racing, infant-safety seat and high-back booster seat by Graco and a convertible child-safety seat by Britax. Here's what they had to say:
On the rear-facing infant-safety seat - Testers did have to move the front-passenger seat forward a bit to fit the safety seat. However, the front passenger still had ample leg room.
On the booster seat- Kicking Tires credits a secure fit to the sedan's bolstered seats and the positioning of the seat belt buckles.
On the convertible seat - Forward- and rear facing convertible seats are reported to have fit quite well. "There was tons of room for the rear-facing car seat, and we didn't have to move the front passenger seat forward to get it to fit," explain the editors.
How many car seats was Kicking Tires able to fit in the second row, total?
Two? As long as you're not planning to have triplets, or three kids in a row, you should be good to go.
