This  July, J.D. Power and Associates released their annual APEAL study. As many of you know, the APEAL study is valued among consumers for providing an accurate gauge of ownership satisfaction. Essentially, it answers the question every new-car buyer wants to know: Will I still be head over heels for [Model X] after the proverbial honeymoon period is over?

Well, if you're filling in the blank with the new Audi A8 and Audi A6, the answer is a definitive YES.

Here's what J.D. Power and Associates APEAL study shows for the 2012 model year:

1. The Audi A8 sedan ranks at the top of the large, premium auto segment.
2. In terms of performance, the Audi A8 ranks highest compared to all vehicles, regardless of segment.
3. The Audi A6 is noted as the most appealing model in the midsize premium car segment.

Also worth noting is the fact that across the board, Audi improved 13 points compared to last year's  APEAL results. The reason for such an impressive spike is, according to Audi, the luxury automaker's dedication to amplifying their assortment of technologically-advanced models.

"Audi products have become the envy of the luxury automotive industry," explains Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. "This is a result of our unwavering focus on developing premium vehicles that are intelligent in design, progressive in technology, and exceptional in performance." ¹
